Mr. Michael M. Racy lives and trains in Tucson, Arizona, located in the southwestern United States. He has been an aerobatic competitor for the last fourteen years and has flown in international competition for the last 9 years. In addition to flying in numerous competitions in the United States he has competed in the Russian National Aerobatic Championships, and is the only member of the US Team to have flown in every World and European Championships since 2003. He has regularly been in the top ten in the world since 2003 and is currently ranked 7th in the world. He has flown in Russia (many times), Spain (twice), Switzerland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic (twice) and the United Arab Emirates. Although a member of the United States National Team Mr. Racy regularly trains with members of the Russian National Team who he hosts in the United States as well as making regular trips to Russian for training purposes. When competing in Europe Mr. Racy flies a Russian prototype SU-26M3 and is the only non-Russian team member to fly this aircraft in International competition.
Mr. Racy was born on May 15, 1962, in Beirut, Lebanon to a Lebanese father and American mother. The family moved to New York in 1967 and Michael moved to Arizona in 1981. He has been flying since 1983 and started aerobatics in 1997. He is the owner of Racy Associates, Inc., a public policy and government relations firm.
